
Pierre B. Paquin
Senior counsel
Mtre Pierre B. Paquin began his career in 1981 at Lavalin, where he first worked in urban planning and development with Daniel Arbour et associés before moving on to Prodevco Lavalin, a real estate subsidiary,as Director of Operations.
He then also served as Director of Operations at the Société immobilière du patrimoine architectural de Montréal (SIMPA), where he contributed to the development of key projects in Old Montreal and Montreal, including the World Trade Center, Chaussegros de Léry and Pointe à Callières Museum.
With his experience in urban and real estate development, Mtre Paquin has, since 1996, offered his services as a lawyer and real estate development advisor. He joined the firm Bélanger Sauvé in 2000. Since 2024, he has continued his activities as a legal counsel with Leroux Côté Burrogano, notaries and lawyers.
Through this career, he has developed extensive expertise in the fields of business, real estate, regional, cultural and community economic development and project financing. He has advised numerous municipalities, public organizations, as well as private sector and community and cultural sector companies on their development projects, commercial buildings, industrial parks, cultural centers, research centers, convention center, and community projects, to give a few examples.
A valued negotiator, Pierre focuses in his interventions on concrete achievements, on facilitating relations between the private and public parties involved, as well as on establishing solid financial packages. He knows how to propose innovative solutions to real estate project development problems. Since the early 2000s, he teaches the legal and financial aspects of project development in the Masters program of Project Management at the Université de Montréal.
